Congratulations to Calvin Devitt, in Mrs. McCarthy’s 2nd Class on being awarded a Certificate of Commendation for reaching the final stages of the Texaco Art Competition. Well done to Mrs. McCarthy and all the children in 2nd class who entered this year’s competition.

Don’t forget there will be no school for the children on Friday next, June 17th,  as teachers in St. Mary’s Junior and Senior schools will be attending training on the new Language Curriculum.  

We hope you’re enjoying the lovely weather over the past few days. Children may continue to wear their uniforms or, alternatively, while the weather is this hot they may prefer wear shorts & T-shirts instead. Parents/Guardians, The Department of Education and Skills is introducing a new Language Curriculum in Primary schools beginning in September 2016.  All Primary Teachers have to attend training on this new Language Curriculum.
