Senior Infants were learning all about Robins last week.
A walk through our school garden sparked a conversation about what birds eat in winter and so we decided we should make them bird feeders.
We then wrote some facts about our new favourite birds and drew some fantastic robins, displayed in our hall.
Today, we went for a walk again to check on the bird feeders and we couldn't believe our eyes - most of them were empty and some were gone. We decided that the birds must have been very hungry and maybe one or two brought the feeders home for a take away!
