One of our favorite ways to practice reading in Mr. Whelan's class is through Buddy Reading. The children pair up with a friend and take turns reading their books aloud for five minutes each while their partner listens.
The children are wonderfully supportive of one another, offering help with tricky words and giving plenty of praise for a job well done. It's a great way to build confidence and teamwork!
