In first class we have been learning lots about light and words such as opaque, translucent & transparent. We investigated different materials using torches to discover whether they were opaque, translucent or transparent. Following our experiment about different materials we created our own greenhouses, we decided on which material would be best to let light shine through and heat up our greenhouses. We planted sweetpeas in our classroom in the sun and then made our greenhouses using clear plastic cups and masking tape. After midterm we came back in and saw that our greenhouses were a success as the sweetpeas began to grow, take a look at all our hard work and learning from start to finish!
