Easter Show and Tell
The Junior Infant children brought in a beloved toy from home today for their end-of-term Show and Tell. Show and Tell offers the children a chance to build on their oral language skills, practice effective communication, and most importantly learn to listen to their peers whilst they present their toys to the class. This technique also gives the children the opportunity to enhance their confidence and competence in speaking aloud and in front of an audience. It also encourages emotional development in a child, as he or she shares their interests, home lives, and joys with peers. Following the show and tell the children swapped and shared toys and practiced their cooperation and communication skills. It was a great success and we have many more Show and Tell days planned for Term 3!
