Well done to all the parents who took part in the 5 week Hug Your Book programme in Spring. The workshops helped parents develop a range of skills to support their children’s reading, writing and talking. Parents were supported to:
- Hug their books!
- Develop the parent-child relationship through a love of reading books
- Model to their children that learning is fun and enjoyable
- Encourage their children to have a positive attitude to learning
- Develop their children’s imagination, reading and writing skills, language skills and a love of learning.
- Reflect on home learning opportunities
