Junior Infants trip to Clonfert Farm
The Junior Infant classes enjoyed a super day at Clonfert Pet Farm today. We set off with great excitement on their first trip on a bus together down to Maynooth, Co. Kildare. We were greeted by the lovely staff who spent the day touring us around the lovely grounds and facilities at Clonfert. We got to feed the rabbits, pet the sheep, goats, and calves, visit the wise old owls, see the lazy lemurs chilling in the shade, and visit the spikey porcupine to name but a few! The children were also busy exploring the fairy trails, visiting the different playgrounds, playing some football, having a go on the go-carts, and had a ball in the indoor softball. We had a lovely shaded picnic area to have our lunch and refuel before finishing off with some crazy mini golf and a final playground play before departing for home. No doubt there will be some tired but happy little junior infants this evening! Well done to all the boys and girls who came along today - your teachers are very proud of you all for representing the school so well today!
