Quarryvale FRC food bank
Quarryvale FRC Food Bank, which covers all of Dublin Mid-West, is experiencing a steady increase of 5-10 new households registering with them every week. The increase is food costs and other essentials are hitting many people hard and some of the people they meet talk to them about how they even have to ration food at times.
They are receiving invaluable regular support from ESF+ and FoodCloud, from people in the local community, from the Community Foundation, and from CYPSC, (the latter for Christmas boxes for all the children and young people), but they need more to meet the growing needs. Especially as Christmas is soon upon us they would like to not just provide the “normal” bags of staple food items but also some Christmas staples and treats.
Please also remember to tell people who might need the food bank about them. Anyone experiencing food poverty should call Amanda on 0858798790 to make an appointment to go in and register.
